Terms of Service
Last updated: October 26, 2026
Welcome to ChurchOS. By using our app, website and church admin (together, the “Service”) you agree to these terms. If you use the Service on behalf of a church, you agree that these terms apply to that church.
1. The Service
ChurchOS is a platform that gives churches bulletins, sermons, notices, groups and events, pulpit schedules and serving rosters. We may improve, add or change features at any time.
2. Accounts
- You sign up with an email address. You must be at least 13 years old and provide true and accurate information.
- Keep your sign-in details safe. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you notice unauthorized use.
- One account can belong to one or more churches.
3. Churches and administrators
- When a church’s application is approved, the applicant becomes that church’s first admin and is responsible for managing its members, roles and permissions.
- A church is responsible for the content it enters and publishes, for how it uses member information, and for following applicable law, including laws that protect minors’ information.
- A church should collect only the information its ministry needs and tell members how it is used.
- When you apply, you represent that you are authorized to act for the church and that the information you give is accurate.
4. Fees
- The app is always free for members.
- Any fees for a church are discussed with the church while we review its application, and the written (email) agreement applies.
- No payments are made inside the app.
5. Acceptable use
You may not:
- post content that is unlawful, fraudulent, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit or that infringes others’ rights;
- impersonate a person or another church, or submit false application information;
- try to bypass permissions, access data that is not yours, or interfere with the operation of the Service;
- scrape in bulk, send spam, or reverse engineer the Service;
- use the Service for commercial promotion unrelated to church ministry.
6. Content and license
You and your church keep ownership of the content you post. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license solely to the extent needed to run and improve the Service (for example to store, display, push and generate AI summaries).
A church may choose to share some content publicly on the Plaza; public content can be viewed by anyone.
We may remove content that violates these terms, in response to a report or as required by law, and may suspend the accounts or churches involved.
7. AI-generated content
Sermon summaries and similar content are drafted with AI and may contain errors or omissions. They do not represent the views of a pastor or church, and are shown to members only after a pastor reviews them. Please rely on the original sermon and Scripture.
8. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time. A church admin may request closure of the church’s workspace and export its data.
We may suspend or terminate the Service if you or your church seriously or repeatedly violate these terms, or if application information turns out to be false. We will try to give notice and a chance to export data, unless there is an urgent safety or legal risk.
9. Disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is”. We work to keep it reliable but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. ChurchOS supports church ministry; it does not replace pastoral care, emergency help, or professional legal, medical or financial advice.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of or inability to use the Service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (zero for members, who use the Service free of charge). Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case local law applies.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the place where the operator is registered. The parties will first try in good faith to resolve any dispute amicably.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will notify you in the app or by email in advance. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
