Made for a Chinese church’s week

From Sunday’s bulletin to the tasks that come out of a deacons’ meeting, all in one place.

  • Free for members

Members download and use the app for free, and there are no ads.

  • Your church’s own admin

Publish bulletins, notices, sermons and events from a web admin on a computer, and members see them on their phones right away. Your church decides who edits and who approves.

  • Bilingual bulletins

One bulletin in both Chinese and English, with a separate edition for the Mandarin and English services. Members switch languages with a tap, and scripture can show side by side.

  • Member management

People request to join in the app, and an admin or secretary confirms their status: member, regular attender or seeker. View lists by service and by group, and import your existing list from Excel in one go.

  • Volunteer and deacon work

Serving rosters and swaps; deacons’ meeting minutes where decisions become tasks with an owner and due date, and volunteers report progress; room booking approvals; care follow-ups visible only to the pastors and care volunteers assigned.

These features arrive during the “Volunteer collaboration” stage. See our progress below.

One app, one web admin, one Plaza

Your church edits and publishes in the web admin, and members’ apps update right away. Anything you choose to share can go on the Plaza for more people to find.

Members open their phones, and the whole week is there

  • Notices

Push to the whole church, one service or one group. Pin what matters and leave everyone else alone.

  • Event sign-ups

Browse events, sign up, see capacity and waitlists, and check in with a QR code.

  • Groups

Find the right fellowship group, see when and where it meets, and get its announcements.

Staff plan and publish the week from a computer

Every church gets its own web admin, and roles decide who can change what.

  • Members and roles

Approve join requests and set member status and roles. One person can hold several roles, each with its own scope.

  • Bulletin editing and publishing

A draft is generated from your template every week. The secretary edits, a pastor approves, and it publishes on schedule with a reminder.

  • Pulpit schedule

Preacher, title, passage, chair and pianist for every service on every Sunday, in one table that feeds the bulletin.

  • Serving rosters

Who serves in which team, in which role, on which Sunday, at a glance. Drag to swap people.

Find a church to visit, even in a new city

Browse Chinese churches in North America by city, whether you are new in town, moving or traveling.

  • Browse by city

List and map views, filtered by language and service times.

  • Public church pages

Service times, address, and the sermons and events a church chooses to share.

  • Churches decide what is public

Member data is never public. Staff choose which sermons, notices and events appear on the Plaza.

Our design principles

What churches ask us most

ChurchOS has not launched yet. These are the principles we hold to as we design and build it, and our commitments to your church.

  • Privacy and security

Your church’s data is stored on secure, reliable cloud services. It is your church’s own asset, and we have no right to use it.

    • Role-based permissions: each person sees only what they are responsible for
    • Sensitive content such as care notes, prayer requests, finances and giving is visible only to the pastors or volunteers assigned to it
    • Role changes, permission changes and views of sensitive data are all logged
    • Data is encrypted in transit and at rest
    • No ads, and we never sell member data; the platform team cannot see members’ personal details
  • Your data belongs to your church

Your member records and the content you publish belong to your church, not to us.

    • Export your member list and content at any time
    • If you stop using ChurchOS, you can ask us to delete all of your church’s data
    • Members can delete their own accounts at any time
  • An admin that is easy to run

The web admin opens in a desktop browser, with nothing to install.

    • Secretaries, pastors and volunteers each see only the parts they need
    • A 6-step setup guide on first use, with Excel import for your existing list
    • A bulletin draft is generated from your template each week, so you never start from scratch
  • Helping people find a church

Seekers, families who just moved, and new international students all need a church to go to.

    • Find nearby Chinese churches by city on the Church Plaza
    • See service times, the address and public sermons first
    • Ready to stay? Request to join right in the app
  • Public posters, inviting other churches

Joint worship, retreats and concerts can welcome brothers and sisters from other churches.

    • Share event posters publicly on the Plaza
    • People from other churches can see them and sign up
    • Your church decides what is public; member data is never public

The Church Plaza and public event posters arrive in the “Church Plaza” stage of our roadmap.

Features on the way

These are the features ChurchOS is preparing to support. The member app supports both iPhone and Android.

  1. First release

Church admin + member app (iPhone and Android)

The secretary publishes next week’s content, and members see it on their phones right away.

    • Admin: setup guide, member import, bulletins, notices, sermons with AI summaries, pulpit schedule
    • App: home, bulletin, notices and push, sermons, livestream
    • Email sign-in with one-time codes, role-based permissions
  2. Coming later

    Volunteer collaboration

Serving schedules run inside the app, too.

    • My pulpit and my serving
    • Serving rosters and swaps
    • Groups, event sign-ups, room booking and approval
  3. Coming later

    Deacon board and care

What deacons and pastors handle gets recorded and followed through.

    • Board meeting minutes and action items
    • Care records and seeker follow-up
    • Prayer requests (visible only to assigned people)
  4. Coming later

    Onboarding and platform services

Churches apply on their own, and we verify before opening their account.

    • Applications with automatic checks
    • Claiming church pages
    • Handling reports and platform announcements
  5. Coming later

    Church Plaza

Opens once enough churches have joined.

    • Browse by city, in list or map view
    • Public church pages and event posters
    • Follow churches and see their updates

This is our current plan. Order and scope may change based on church feedback, and it is not a launch date.

Joining ChurchOS takes three steps

We verify every church so that each one on the Plaza is a real church.

  1. 1

    Submit your application

Fill in your church details and contact person. It usually takes about three minutes.

  2. 2

    We verify

We check the church email, address and contact person. We reply by email within 3 business days.

  3. 3

    Go live

Once approved, the applicant becomes the first admin and follows a 6-step guide: set up the profile, import members, invite volunteers, then go live.
